Ist Nine Weeks
Objectives to be worked on and/or assessed for progress report
· Recognizes first name in print
· Writes first name correctly: beginning with uppercase letter followed by lowercase letters
· Identifies letters in first name
· Knows age
· Recites days of week in order
· Ties shoes
· Identifies shapes: circle, square, triangle, rectangle, diamond, oval
· Identifies numbers: 0-10
· Rote Counts: 0-10
· Recognizes, copies, and extends AB pattern
· Recognizes and identifies uppercase and lowercase alphabet
· Reads color words and number words
· Dictates and writes one sentence
· Follows one and two step directions
· Follows classroom and school rules
· Works and plays cooperatively with others
2nd Nine Weeks
Objectives to be worked on and/or assessed for progress report, including skills listed under first nine weeks
· Recognizes first and last name in print.
· Recites address, giving house number, street, city, state and zipcode,
· Rote counts 0-25
· Sorts objects by color, shape, and size
· Recognizes, copies, and extends ABC pattern
· Identifies letter sounds
· Begins reading words using phonetic skills.
· Begins reading Kindergarten sight words (see attached list)
· Begins reading grade appropriate books independently
· Writes one- two sentences with spaces and punctuation
· Follows three step directions
· Engages in activities 10 to 15 minutes.
3rd Nine Weeks
Objectives to be worked on and/or assessed for progress report, including skills listed under first, and second nine weeks
· Writes first and last name, beginning with uppercase, followed by lowercase letters
· Recites birthdate and telephone number
· Recites months of year
· Rote counts by 1, 5, and 10 to 100
· Rote counts by 2 to 10
· Identifies numerals to 20
· Counts and matches objects to numerals 0-10
· Writes numerals 0-20
· Recognizes and uses ordinal numbers first through tenth
· Recognizes, copies, and extends AABB pattern
· Recognizes and compares groups using more, fewer, and equal
· Identifies longer-longest, shorter-shortest, and same in length/distance
· Identifies coins: penny, nickel, dime, and quarter.
· Identifies dollar bill
· Combines and separates sets for addition and subtraction
· Recognizes and identifies position words: on, under, in, above, below, left, right, etc.
· Recognizes and identifies opposites
· Recognizes and identifies rhyming words
· Writes three or more sentences with capitalization, spaces, and punctuation
· Sequences three pictures to tell a story
· Blends two, three, and four letter sounds into words using phonics
· Engages in activities 15 to 20 minutes.
4th Nine Weeks
Objectives listed during first, second, and third nine weeks are practiced and extended, so students entering first grade will have mastered necessary skills to be successful learners.

Recites personal information, including first and last name, address, telephone number, age and birth date
· Ties shoes correctly
· Recites numbers through 100 by 1-5 and 10
· Recites numbers through 20 by 2
· Recognizes, matches with objects, and writes numerals 0-30
· Can tell characteristics and value of penny, nickel, dime, quarter, and dollar
· Exchanges nickels and dimes for pennies
· Recites all letter sounds
· Reads all kindergarten sight words (see attached list)
· Blends letters to form words phonetically
· Reads independently using phonetic skills and sight words
· Writes two-three complete sentences on a topic
